Fallen Angel

Before the dawn there is no light,
No warmth to comfort me this night.
Darkness engulfs me at every corner,
I can't hold my head high.

In this abyss of the night,
I have only fright.

I have fallen so low,
my wings stripped in one blow.
I am a fallen angel succumbing to darkness,
never again to fly so high.

Dawn will never come,
my sky will no longer be bright.
This aching pain that I know,
will guide me through the night.

I wish I could just fly away,
and end this horrible day.
But I am stuck in night,
and I can't even fight.
